Fashion Week Collections

I apologise for the lack of posting recently. I have been utterly rubbish! I have had the most stressful few weeks at university and haven't had time to even think about blogging.

Here are a few of my favourite looks from the recent fashion weeks (Images taken from www.style.com)

Mulberry <3 I know they are probably not seen as THE most fashionable and not quite up there with the Chanel's, Wang's, McQueen's and Prada's of the fashion world; but I really do love their designs.

This season has a 50's inspired feel (mixed with a hint of the 60's) but it really reminds me of Gossip Girl; O so very Blair Waldorf and her Upper East Side followers, and I think that is why I love it so much!

What do you think?

Another designer that I love is Diane Von Furstenburg; I don't know what it is about her designs that I find so appealing. To be honest, though, I find it hard NOT to like designers collections. She too seemed to be chanelling a very Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf look.

Burberry

Gone are the days of the Burberry Chav association (I hope) they are producing amazing collections recently and always having pieces that I wish would just find thier way into my wardrobe some how!

I love the military inspired look and colours; navy and khaki. The focal point of the collection seems to be coats and boots! Which is perfect for winter in England!!! I love the pilot style jackets... very Top Gun-esque don't you think? I have a feeling that buckles, leather and sheep skin are going to be 'big' this coming A/W season.

I'll post some more of my favourites soon... don't want to spoil your appetite!

What are you favourite collections?

RIP Alexander McQueen

In absolute shock at the news today; and by the looks of it so is everybody else! What a loss to the fashion industry and my thoughts go out to his family.

Alexander McQueen himself / the iconic Skull scarf / the knuckle duster bag i would love to own.

Street Peeper

I stumbled across Street Peeper after it was recommended in Glamour magazine (there are a list of blogs, i'm slowly making my way through all of them) and i'm glad i did, plenty of inspiration for outfits. Perfect.

Here are a few of my favourites:

(The website is catergorised in cities)

The first image is from Sydney; I'm really into graphic prints at the moment and long sleeved shift dresses and therefore this is just about perfection. Teemed with the shoe boots... love it!

The next Chicago; love, love, love the skirt! I love how she has kept everything else so minimal aswell; it could so easily be an ott outfit but she keeps it classy and gives it a slightly rougher edge with the studded shoes (can never go wrong)!

Next NYC; I love the colours, I am now on the hunt for some clothes with similar hues... good for summer! Again, I love the simplicity of the outfit and I love the accessories with it. I'm also looking for some bib necklaces. It looks so effortless, yet so stylish at the same time.

And finally Paris <3 stripes are my thing at the moment, I seem to have a lot of breton striped tops! I love the fur gillet. Just everything thing looks so effortless and comfy; it doesn't look like she is suffering to be stylish! I also find it an accessible look: I'll definately try this one out some time this week.

Which look do you like the best?

It will keep you entertained for hours and probably make you want to travel to the cities yourself. www.streetpeeper.com

A girl of my word.

Outfit Post

The time has come finally, sorry for the poor quality. I was in a rush on my way to my interview.

White tee - Newlook
Black Trousers - Topshop
Shoes - Mango
Scarf - Alexander Mcqueen
Sunglasses - Chanel
Jacket - H&M
Bracelet - Pandora

Its hard to see from the poor quality pictures;

The white tee is baggy with a large pocket on.
The trousers are highwaisted and baggy at the top and are skinny at the bottom and made of cotton.

This is what I wore to my Interview today.. fingers crossed I get the job :)

Apologies...

Apologies for the lack of blogging recently. The work load at university has piled on; I have 5 group assignments as well a trend forecasting report to write, whilst searching for a placement next year and perhaps a part time job to feed my shopping addiction (oops!). However, all is not in vain... I have a job interview this Friday (wish me luck) I really want/need this job, so fingers crossed/good luck/pray etc! I'm thinking of wearing some black smart trousers (high wasted, baggier at the top and tight at the bottom -topshop), a loose white tee, black blazer, smart black heels and accessories... What do you think? (will try and get an outfit post... i know i keep promising, eeek)

Another plus, Vogue, arrived yesterday. Always enough to put a smile on my face! So much to mention but the Hermes adverts stick out the most in my mind; especially the mermaid one, wow! (picture pending) ... On another Vogue related issue; there is a competition to win £1000 and a months paid work experience at Vogue, YES PLEASE! You have to write 3 articles so I shall be starting on that too. Its all very 'go,go,go" at the moment, which is nice after the bad week I had last week.

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed CLOGS!!!

I know the Grammy's are not THE award ceremony for stylespotting however I really liked this Romona Keveza dress on Lea Michele from 'Glee', what do you think?

I watched a programme on Mo Mowlam (an English politician) yesterday. It was heartbreaking and inspiring. She had a brain tumour and she fought it and was so determined, passionate and just wow! I was completely inspired by her drive!

I'm Vampire crazy at the moment. Can you blame me with Twilight, yes please Edward Cullen and now The Vampire Diaries well I'm quite wishing for a Vampire boyfriend!

O! I have also re-ignited my passion for Ed Westwick a.k.a Chuck Bass of Gossip Girl... SWOON!

I leave with a gift of eyecandy... am i forgiven?

I promise to be better with blogging/outfit posts ASAP.
